John Travolta Coaches Kirstie Alley on Dancing With the Stars

After suffering back-to-back mishaps on Dancing With the Stars - falling two weeks ago, losing a shoe last Monday - Kirstie Alley hired a new coach this week:
John Travolta!
In a surprise appearance, the actor and friend of Kirstie told her to try hightops, first of all, to avoid another shoe malfunction. His next bit of advice?
Advising her and Maksim Chmerkovskiy to go somewhere and fix the "sexual tension" issue. We're sure he could convince plenty of other ladies to do this.
While his tutelage didn't help her Dancing With the Stars scores - she ended up near the bottom with a still-respectable 23 - his presence was a lot of fun overall:

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy Bust a Move, Strip Down on Oprah

Kirstie Alley does not hold back.
The 60-year-old Dancing With the Stars maverick took another sexy turn yesterday - this time on Oprah, where she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy appeared.
Kirstie and her DWTS partner appeared on the talk show as part of O's big Bloopers, Blunders and Funniest Moments episode. They delivered a classic:

They wowed the crowd - including Cee Lo Green - with some slick moves and obvious chemistry. Then Kirstie tore off Maks' shirt to thunderous applause.
Kirstie fell during the rumba two weeks ago, then lost a shoe this week, But she says mishaps and all, she's found doing the punishing show cathartic.
"It's sort of given me my confidence back," she said. "It's amazing."
Hopefully she keeps rocking on DWTS for many weeks to come.

Dancing With the Stars Recap: Chelsea Kane a Shoe-In, Kirstie Alley's Shoe Comes Off

A week ago, Kirstie Alley fell to the floor, only to make a full recovery on Dancing With the Stars. Unfortunately, she suffered another mishap last night.
This time, it was a footwear malfunction. Kirstie and Maksim Chmerkovskiy had to fight through more adversity as Alley's left shoe fell off in mid-waltz.
Just like the previous week, they recovered well enough to earn a respectable score – 22 out of 30 – plus sympathy and respect from fans and judges.

"You didn't miss a beat," said Carrie Ann Inaba. Bruno Tonioli agreed, while Len Goodman was less impressed, pointing out the need for improvement.
Still, we'd be surprised if Kirstie and Maks were in jeopardy after a second straight week of bouncing back strongly from a somewhat freakish setback.
Another gal who should be safe? Disney starlet Chelsea Kane, whose Viennese waltz with Mark Ballas earned them the top score of the night at 26.

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas - DWTS Week 4

That put them just ahead of the Hines Ward and Kym Johnson and Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff. Both of those couples notched scores of 25.
Len grumbled about Chelsea's unorthodox choreography, but technically, the judges could not deny that Kane's was the best dance of the night.
At the bottom of the heap and definitely at risk of elimination tonight are Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel, who bombed with an 18.

Dancing With the Stars Recap: Kirstie Alley, Maksim Chmerkovskiy Fall, Make Full Recovery!

Hines Ward and Petra Nemcova led the way last night on Dancing With the Stars with scores of 25 apiece, but Kirstie Alley's routine got the most buzz.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy's fall to start his rumba with Kirstie was the defining moment of week three, but the way they recovered was the bigger story.
It appeared that Maks' leg just gave out and he tumbled while holding Alley, who also went down hard. But they rallied for a respectable 21. Watch:

 
Dancing With the Stars Week 3 - Kirstie and Maks

Monday was personal story night on DWTS, with Kirstie and Maks dancing to "Over the Rainbow," and Alley telling the poignant story of her move to L.A.
Who knew she'd have another story to tell right after.
"My thigh just gave out. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," said Maks, who had to take this really hard as a perfectionist. "It has nothing to do with her."
"Sometimes tragedy leads to an amazingly beautiful moment," Carrie Ann Inaba said, noting that after the fall "something magical happened."
Bruno added, "You can't keep good talent down. Once you got up it was better than ever." Indeed. How did that score of 21 match up? Let's see:
