Yesterday Shilpa Shetty spent her wedding anniversary in Dubai with hubby Raj Kundra. They celebrated it at their new home on the 19^th floor of the tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa.

A close soruce to the actress says, “Shilpa was thrilled when Raj gave this luxury apartment to her as a gift. This was a wedding anniversary gift for her.”

Raj gave her the keys a week before their anniversary in Mumbai. She had been to Dubai a few months before, and she simply loved the building and expressed her wish of living there.

The couple took a three-day break for celebrating their anniversary. Raj had planned a lot of things for Shilpa along with a lavish dinner and a few surprises along with it. Shetty will be designing the interiors of their new apartment. After this, she will be off to Bangkok to shoot a shampoo commercial.

The sourse further added, “Shilpa suddenly got a 103-degree temperature on Staurday night and a bad attack of pharyngitis. Though the fever was normal till Sunday evening, her voice had gone completely.”

Shilpa needs a fair, balanced hearing in IPL fiasco

Actress-turned-businesswomen Shilpa Shetty, who is currently distressed with the termination of her IPL team Rajasthan Royals, says that she wants a balanced and fair hearing over this entire matter.

Recently, Shilpa wrote on microblogging site Twitter, “It has been a very distressing time for us all at RR after all we have put in (passion n time).” When asked her on her views for terminating her team she said, “All we ask for is a fair and balanced hearing on all the issues raised, given the adverse national and international impact on the Brand IPL in the interest of the teams and fans. The most important thing is the transparent process and enquiry…allegation that our ownership has been changed since 2008. That is so untrue.”

She added saying, “The only change that has come in the ownership is the introduction of my husband Raj Kundra, for which we had full BCCI permission and support at that time.”

The governing council of IPL terminated the contracts of Rajasthan Royals andKings XI Punjab for violating their franchise pact. Shilpa and Raj own the team Rajasthan Royals, while Preity Zinta owns the Kings XI Punjab. Shilpa said that she was too shocked to react.

She tweeted meanwhile saying, “This is for all those who want my reaction, ‘Honestly too shocked to react, just disheartened….cause it is more than just a team for us! Still haven’t received the termination, will react after that. Need to know the basis of this decision, in London now.”

Raj and Shilpa plan a special Valentine’s Day.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have planned special surprises for each other this Valentine’s Day. They will not be disclosing it to anyone. Shilpa says, “I have no idea what Raj has planned for us. All I know is that Raj has told my manager to keep February 12-14 free on my diary and to keep me flight-ready. I think it is most probably Dubai. I have planned something special for him too, but that is a surprise I will reveal only to him.”

However, when it comes to romance, Shilpa says that Raj is a clear winner, “Raj wins hands down. He is a planner and has the most romantic things planned down to the utmost detail. I remember last year after we had made the Rajasthan Royals announcement on Valentine’s Day, Raj had whisked me off to Goa.”

For Shilpa, Valentine’s Day is like a whole another day of her life, “I know it sounds cheesy but I say this from my heart. Raj and I celebrate every day. We just enjoy spending time with each other. The only day that is special for us is our wedding Anniversary (November 22).”

Shilpa signs Nagesh Kukunoor to direct her film

Shilpa Shetty has been planning a film for a very long time. The beautiful actress has signed a deal with Nagesh Kukunoor, he will be directing a film for her production house. Nagesh was one of those few people who had attended Shilpa’s wedding reception in November 2009. Currently Shilpa is very busy her Indian Premier League pursuits, Shilpa is very keen to get her S2 Global Productions started.

Since the time she got back from her honeymoon, Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra are discussing about their production house. A close source to Shilpa confirms saying, “yes, she has signed him. Nagesh Kukunoor’s project with Shilpa is not a serious topic but it is beautiful love story. She feels that he is the right choice with the sensibilities needed for the project.”

Shilpa will not be acting in her production. She is planning to rope in some leading stars from bollywood. Shilpa was very keen on re-launching her sister Shamita Shetty, but she has yet not finalized about the casting.
