Taylor Swift Hooks 'Rents Up With New Digs

A source close to the singer announces that she just purchased a home in Nashville - for her parents! The crib's price tag? A tidy $1.4 million.
"It's an incredible house. Taylor's been visiting her parents there and she's so excited for them," says a source, who adds that Swift visited recently.

Taylor Swift: What a sweetheart!
Meanwhile, across the U.S., "Taylor just bought a beautiful home for herself in L.A. She's in L.A. so much - and she was paying a fortune in hotel charges!"
Good for her. She certainly deserves it with all the success she's had, and isn't it nice to hear about a celebrity doing something so nice for their parents?

Couples Watch: Taylor Swift & Garrett Hedlund, Jake Gyllenhaal & Jessica Lowndes (!?)

Looks like Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal are hitting it off ... with other people! The former was seen on a hot date with Garrett Hedlund, reports say.
"It was their first time going out," a source tells Us Weekly of Swift's April 1 evening out in Nashville with the Tron: Legacy and Country Strong star.
"They've been emailing for a while, and she hinted they should get together."

Sources say that despite an obviously strong connection, Taylor is taking things slowly after a fast-track romance and breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal last fall.
Speaking of Jake, he's been spotted out with 90210 star Jessica Lowndes. Yeah, the chick stuck playing Adrianna on the CW's mediocre remake of the hit.
As long as they're both happy. Too bad Jay Leno didn't ask Taylor about this during her visit last night. Probably would've resulted in more blank stares.

Taylor Swift Laughs AT, Not With Jay Leno

Taylor Swift visited the Tonight Show on Tuesday night, and her reaction to one of Jay Leno's jokes that BOMBED was one of the highlights for us.
A lot of people think Jay is a hilarious guy. Taylor is one of them, but fortunately for all things sane, not in the way Leno likely thinks he's funny.
Case in point? Leno struck out with what he was hoping was a charming impression of fashion photographers. The silence? Not un-awkward.
Swift on Leno
It started when Swift talked about her recent work for Cover Girl, which she says is a lot deal of fun, and even involved a thing called a "leaping coach."
As in, a coach teaching her how to leap, looking oh-so beautiful, for her new ad campaign for the brand. Taylor was fun and cute as ever describing this.
But then Leno decided to ask if those photographers really act the way we see them in the media, saying things like "Come on, baby! Gimme a smile!"
The look on the singer's face was simply priceless. He continued it for awhile, but she just gazed in bewilderment until finally, mercifully, it stopped.
Then Taylor Swift finally lost it.  The joke may have bombed, but Swift's response was gold. Watch her full interview on The Tonight Show after the jump ...

Academy of Country Music Awards Winners: Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert & More

The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards was officially ladies' night, with Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and others taking home the top honors.
Lady Antebellum – the co-ed trio Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood – clocked in the most wins, but the evening's highest honor went to Swift.
The singer was crowned entertainer of the year.

"I'm just losing my mind," Swift told the audience after her big win.
"The fact that this is from the fans makes its so beautiful."
Lambert, meanwhile, snagged honors for favorite female vocalist, record of the year, video of the year and song of the year for "The House that Built Me."
Lady Antebellum won big, like they did at this year's Grammy Awards, for their smash single "Need You Now," scoring album of the year and top vocal group.
Hosts Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton, soon-to-be husband of Lambert, kicked off the ceremony with a few words of wisdom. For starters, don't mess with Swift.
"If you make her mad, she'll write a song about you," McEntire said.
The show included a performance by Rihanna and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, plus A-list presenters such as Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford, Celine Dion, and Water for Elephants co-stars Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon.
The show took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev.
What did you think? Did the voters make the right calls?
