Lindsay Lohan: Whacked From Gotti Biopic!

Lindsay Lohan can't catch a break these days.
Despite rumors that she landed a role that could help resurrect her career, she was just "fired" as Victoria Gotti in Gotti: Three Generations.
LiLo wasn't officially on board, but was rumored to be starring in the biopic about John Gotti and his days running the Gambino crime family.

Doesn't look like this door is still ajar for Lindsay, either.

"I promise you Lindsay Lohan is not playing Victoria Gotti," producer Mark Fiore told E! News today. "Talks have stopped and we are done."
Fiore emphasized again that "We have no discussions with her."
Ouch! Apparently, the troubled star's management pushed for an offer that the producers COULD refuse. Quite easily, as it turned out ...
Despite being more of a liability than an asset, Lohan's camp was pushing for a big payday. More than they were willing to offer, apparently.
Her departure comes a week after she turned up at a press conference in New York to plug the project alongside castmember John Travolta.
Real-life members of Gotti's family - including Victoria herself, who said Lindsay had the toughness required for the part - were also there.
Lohan's casting was never official (she acknowledged they had yet to agree to a contract), but it certainly looked like a strong possibility.
We should've known better after the Inferno debacle. It's Lindsay Lohan. Between the probation and everything else, it's just not worth it.

Report: Lindsay Lohan Still Mulling Guilty Plea

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer is steadfast that her client will win in court. Or so she says. A recent report suggests her confidence level may be more tepid.

Shawn Chapman Holley has asked the judge in her grand theft case how much time Lindsay Lohan will get by agreeing to a guilty or no contest plea.

The eventual sentence was discussed last week in a secret meeting between Holley, Judge Stephanie Sautner and Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers.

Lohan's preliminary hearing is scheduled to begin Friday.

A source close to the case tells us the judge told both attorneys how much time she would serve, although word of any precise sentence hasn't leaked.

At worst, Lohan faces three years in a state slammer. She nixed a plea deal that would have gotten her just three months, but with probation as well.

We all know how Lindsay does with probation.

Meyers will be calling the owner of the jewelry store where Lohan is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace and the employee who assisted Lohan then.

Holley will likely question the motives of the store, as well as call into question the true value of the piece, which some say is sufficiently lower.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled to last 1-2 days if Lohan doesn't cop a plea. The judge will determine if there is sufficient evidence for trial.

That seems like a foregone conclusion at this point. Whether Lindsay actually rolls the dice at trial is more of an open-ended, uncertain matter.

Lindsay Lohan: Robbery Perpetrator ... or VICTIM?

Lindsay Lohan will soon be tried for grand theft. But you know who SHOULD be? Kamofle & Co. They marked that necklace up 300 percent! Highway robbery!
The necklace piece Linds is accused of bogarting from Kamofie & Co. has been appraised at $850. Legally, this could actually be a significant sum.
That price tag does not qualify for felony grand theft, which requires a value of $950 or more. Kamofie was trying to sell the necklace to Lindsay for $2,500.

Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Holley, will argue the D.A. should only be allowed to charge her client with a misdemeanor, based on the true value of the necklace.
But even if Holley loses that argument, Kamofie's owner already lost.
After all, everyone knows jewelers mark stuff up, but 300 percent? That's going to be a PR problem. Not to mention her selling the surveillance video.
It's hard to make an ungrateful and unprofessional brat like LiLo look like a victim or a sympathetic figure, but they have. Well, almost.

Lindsay Lohan Preliminary Hearing to Be "Grueling"

After rejecting a plea deal that could have settled her grand theft case and given her a short stint behind bars, Lindsay Lohan is rolling the legal dice.
The first step? A preliminary hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to order Lohan to stand trial. That is scheduled for Friday, April 22.
It sounds to us like fireworks will fly in the courtroom that day. Team Lindsay is confident they're gonna win, but the D.A. is not backing down ...

Los Angeles Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers is warning witnesses to expect "grueling cross examination by defense attorney Shawn Holley" at the hearing.
Meyers originally planned on calling only the investigating officers to testify, but is now prepping to go all out April 22 because of a legal technicality.
Lindsay, as we know, stands a good chance of being found in violation of her DUI probation regardless of what happens in the felony grand theft case.
If the judge finds there is enough evidence to send Lohan to trial, that in itself will result in a probation violation, even if a jury were to later acquit her.
Meyers wants to go all out to see that Lindsay is taken into custody for violating probation following the hearing, so she's calling extra witnesses.
Meyers has met with the jewelry store owner, Sofia Kaman, along with the female employee that helped LiLo with the necklace she allegedly stole.
Much of the preparation is being spent on Sofia's testimony, because of Kaman's decision to sell the surveillance video of Lohan's alleged theft.
Meyers believes Sofia will be an excellent witness for the prosecution, despite that move. She has yet to see one dime from the sale of the tape.
Just the same, Meyers expects Holley to grill Kaman about her motives and to try to raise doubts about Sofia's credibility, inside sources report.
The preliminary hearing is expected to last 2-3 days, and at the conclusion, Judge Stephanie Sautner will determine if there is enough evidence.
If she does, Meyers will ask that Lindsay be jailed immediately for the probation violation, pending trial. But Sautner could allow her to post bail.
Basically, it should be very interesting as there are so many scenarios that could play out in what is a surprisingly complex courtroom drama.

Lindsay Lohan Denies Hiding in the Closet From Deranged Dad

Lindsay Lohan is denying a slew of hilarious reports that she hid in her closet when her father, Michael Lohan, paid her a surprise visit yesterday afternoon.
The troubled star claims she wasn't even home in Venice, Calif., when MiLo came by, and was reported quite desperately trying to get her to open the door.
"I'm fine," she told E! "I wasn't even home so it's funny how I was in my closet."

Reports surfaced that Lindsay was hiding from Michael out of fear.

It was said that Michael was pounding on her front door trying to break in, then after getting no response, peered into windows as he tried to spot her.
That may well have happened, but Lindsay says she wasn't there. Though if she were there and hiding in the closet, no one would've seen her, so ...
You have to wonder. Girl does lie a lot. For what it's worth, MiLo, who was recently arrested for domestic violence, left before the police were called.
Just another chapter in Lindsay's crazy personal life, a saga that long ago eclipsed whatever career she had. Betty White would not approve.

Betty White on Lindsay Lohan: So Ungrateful and Unprofessional!

Didn't see this one coming. Betty White went OFF in a recent interview about stars who selfishly "abuse" their fame and let their careers spiral out of control.

White told the Daily Mail (UK) that she "cannot stand" over-the-top lifestyles and stars like LiLo go get "wonderful starts in show business and who abuse it."

Betty wasn't done: “They party too much, don’t learn their lines, are unprofessional, and grumble about everything. I think they are terribly ungrateful.”
In her day, the 89-year-old (!) White adds, "We considered ourselves lucky ... and were always on our best behavior in public." Lindsay? Mmmnotsomuch.
"They are the most blessed people in the world and they don't get it."
Pretty much. Not that they appreciate this point... which is sorta Betty's entire point. Lindsay Lohan, of course, was like, so shocked and hurt by all this.
"Wow. I've always been a fan of hers," she replied. "It's a bit strange when people feel they must speak publicly about others. Especially a grown woman."

Lindsay Lohan Rehab 911 Call: You Gotta Hear It!

This 911 tape offers new insight into the argument that went down between Lindsay Lohan and Betty Ford Center staff member Dawn Holland last December.
Holland claims she busted Lindsay and two other girls jumping a wall (yes, really) at Betty Ford around 1 a.m. December 12, after their rehab-imposed curfew.
During the 911 call, Lindsay and Dawn were both on the line on separate phones (yes, really). You know the backstory, now hear it for yourself ...

When Holland, who has since been fired by BF, tried to make the train wreck take a breathalyzer, she says "Lindsay Lohan pushed me and hit me with the phone."
Dawn claims the girls Lindsay was with were drunk, "reeking of alcohol."
During the call, Dawn claims she grabbed the phone to talk to the dispatcher, only to have Lindsay rip the phone away, spraining Dawn's wrist in the process.
Thus the allegations of assault that Dawn made. The Riverside County D.A. took its time investigating, but declined to prosecute Lindsay over the incident.
Lindsay Lohan believes the 911 call of the Betty Ford incident backs her version of what went down with Dawn all along, and that she's been vindicated.
She'd already been cleared by the D.A., which is all that really matters, but this is LiLo. Let her celebrate any small victory she can lay claim to, right?
Lohan says Dawn was "rude," "aggressive" and "inappropriate" and that the tape proves she was only after money from the start. Not a huge stretch.
Very early in the call Dawn says, "Get ready to be sued."
Lindsay may have won this round of legal battles, but there are bigger ones just ahead. She faces trial for grand theft (the necklace heist) this month.
